Darfur Q&A
Was the question on Darfur asked by you, or someone else?:
I asked the question
What was the question asked? :
As president, how will Sen. Clinton work with the international community to impose sanctions against the genocidal government of Sudan and forge a lasting peace in Darfur?
Which candidate answered the question?:
Summary of the candidate's response:
President Clinton spoke for some time and this is a summary of his answer: He said that Senator Clinton will work to build a better relationship with the international community and together help bring peace to Darfur. He stated that three things need to be done in order to do this: 1)First and foremost get UN troops immediately deployed. 2)The UN peacekeeping force must consist of international troops, not just those from Africa. 3)Provide logistical equipment necessary. He discussed Hillary's record in the Senate on Darfur legislation and the recent passage of the SADA.
